This Athletics Australia course is designed to develop the fundamental technical and strategic skills for runners training for 5km through to ultra-marathon events.
The course topics include Pathways and Responsibilities, Developing the Skills of a Leader, Training Principles, Components of Fitness, Warm Ups and Cool Downs, Planning Training Sessions, Programming, and Race Day Strategies.
At the successful completion of this course, participants will be expected to be able to design training programs and lead running and walking groups for recreational athletes.
The course will be facilitated by Melbourne-based running guru Tim Crosbie.
