Individual on the day     Late entries on the day will be accepted until one (1) hour before the scheduled start time of the particular event and must be accompanied by a late entry fee of $50.00  (inc GST).

NO cash or card payments will be accepted at the event, late entry fees will be charged to the entrant’s school via invoice.  This charge may then be passed back to the late entrant.

ALL Bibs will be available for collection AT THE VENUE and have been sorted in SCHOOL NAME ORDER

If your SCHOOL has entered you in this event, then we ask ONE SCHOOL REP to come and collect all the BIBS from ADMIN and hand them out.

If you have entered individually (not by your SCHOOL ) and NO SCHOOL REPS will be attending the event, PLEASE COME AND collect your BIBS from ADMIN which will be sorted by SCHOOL NAME.

IMPORTANT - Athlete Information

**Please ensure this information is provided to parents/students prior to the event.

**Gates will open at 7am and internal road closures will be in place by 10.30am.  Vehicles that are parked in the internal car parks as set out in the INFORMATION above will not be able to exit the venue until 1.30pm.

***All adults are required to use the QR CODE and Check In below. Due to density and capacity restrictions under the COVIDSafe Permit we are asking that one parent/guardian per student to attend this event.

REFUNDS    No refunds will be issued for any reason.

Age of competitors will be taken as at 31 December 2021.
To be eligible to compete, athletes must be born in 2009, 2010,2011 and 2012.

ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY

Athletes must be age eligible primary school students enrolled at a government or private school/college or are engaged in approved home schooling on the day of competition. All competitors must wear their approved school athletic uniform during competition. If one is not available competitors must wear a white singlet or top.

*Students must enter based on their current school  and not Local or District Associations.

SCHOOL TEAMS    Three runners constitute a scoring school team, however, if there are only three, each athlete pays the individual entry fee. There is no requirement to pre-nominate the three runners who make up a school’s team(s). If there are more than three runners in the one event from the same school, the school’s first three runners to finish will constitute the first team, the next three runners from that school will constitute the second team, and so on. To make up a team, all runners must be from the same school. Composite teams are not permitted.  Please note: the $80.00 team entry fee covers all competitors in an age group where there are 4 or more runners.

Spectators

The Tasmanian Government has approved this event as a Tier 3 Public event for up to 5000 people.  Spectators will be permitted but we ask that this is limited to one parent/guardian per person competing as in previous years there have been 2200 primary school students competing.

 

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS -

 

Q. Are spectators allowed at the Primary SChools Event?

A. Yes although we have a limit of 5000 people within the precinct for this event. We are asking that one parent/guardian comes along with one participant so that we can comply with the Tasmanian Government permit of 5000 people for this event

 

Q. Do spectators pay to get in to this event?

A. No - this is a free entry event for spectators

Q. Do all adults have to check in using the TAS QR CODE?

A. Yes all adults MUST check in to the venue using the QR CODE above.

Q. Are there are restrictions for parking at the event?

A. Yes. we have dedicated venue entrances for cars travelling from the north or the south. Due to the nature of the venue and where the course has been set up, all cars that enter the venue before 10.30am will not be able to leave the venue until after the last race at 1.30pm. Q How many family members can come and watch this event?

A. Our permit is for 5000 people within the venue and we have over 2000 entries. One parent/guardian per student will assist in making sure we maintain a safe venue and remain under the 5000 cap limit.
